The Art of Contemporary Shibari Exhibit is the largest display of shibari art in a gallery setting in the world. This exhibit is hosted by Mother Dog Studios and is part of the Fotofest 2012 Biennial activities.

This video shows an awesome shibari performance by Dasniya Sommer who is a beautiful German model, rigger and performance artist, — and athlete.
In this performance she creates several very nice shibari positions as she gracefully moves from one to another in this wonderful self suspension routine. By herself, while suspended, she creates positions similar to those some of us use to create our shibari art. This is special. Continue reading
